The Custom Protodice Process

If you want to add a logo or custom font to your order its best to get it checked first because 3D printing has limitations in the amount detail that can be added to the tiny face of a dice make sure what you want will be possible before hand.

If you need a logo designing please purchase the 'logo design' listing separately before purchasing physical masters so that together we can get your design exactly right without rushing  

A simple as adding everything you want to your cart and hitting the checkout button. Please make sure to add your email address to the order for the next stage. Please "Email me with news and offers" when entering your address on the 'Information' page of checkout, I send production updates at each stage of the process. These cant get through without your permission :) You will then receive an automated email confirming your purchase

After receiving your order I'll check it over and produce a 'Custom Order Confirmation' document (spreadsheet) containing all the details of each dice separately for you to check, sign and return.

If you want a custom logo or font these will be added to the document too - that's why they need to be done first :)

When you receive the OC doc please check, sign and return it ASAP - I can't print your masters before we've agreed the details.

If the document isn't returned within 7 days of purchase I'll send a reminder. Another 7 days and your order will be placed on hold until we can communicate further

The time to go to print will depend on the current queue. (Your order joins the print queue once the OC is returned not once the order is placed). Normally dice are printed within a week but if you want a current print time just send me a message :) Times will be longer at peak periods i.e Christmas / January

3-10days

After printing orders are cleaned then cured in natural sunlight for 2 days. If I feel they haven't had enough Vitamin D then I finish the curing under UV lamps before polishing begins

I polish all orders as standard to 1000G - a soft matte finish that enables you to move straight to polishing with 3M / Zona papers when they reach you  

The next when the master dice are fully dry (and my eyes are fresh) I check over them at this stage to ensure:

• corner alignment
• squareness / symmetry
• no surface bubbles
• numbers/ logo printed correctly

I post out on Tuesdays and Fridays most weeks.

At this stage any stocked items and instructions for each item will be added to your package.

Tief's Things is signed up for Shopify's Carbon Neutral delivery scheme where they offset the carbon footprint of postage through green projects around the world - I even walk to the post office to post 99.9% of orders.

All Packages are posted with Royal Mail Tracked and Signed wherever possible. In the UK this takes 1-2 days the rest of the world will take longer. For up to date delivery schedules please check the Royal Mail website
